K 2010 - fair review
The "K" closed its doors on 03.11.2010. Wegener International GmbH can strike an above average balance after an unbelievably good trade fair. "The hard work over the past few years, our investments in even more research and development as well as the close dialogues with our customers have really paid off," sums up Bernd Roßkampf, Managing Director of Wegener International. "We were able to further extend our leadership on the global market in the field of butt welding machines for bonding thermoplastic panel materials. As a manufacturer of premium class machines and devices it was very interesting for us to see that potential buyers and customers are much more aware of quality and expect better advice before they take their purchase decisions, an approach which is in line with our mission statement. As a result, we can report big growth rates in all fields of business for 2010."
Wegener International once again presented a number of new products to trade visitors from more than 100 countries at this year's "K". One example for the innovative synthesis of ergonomics and technology is the new economy model EXWELD mini2 in the 0.5 kg/h class of manual welding extruders. The completely new position of the handle on the genuine one-handed device, the non-twist feeder and the brushless drive demonstrate the company's innovative strength. The company presented two new extruders with hydraulic drives in the higher power and expulsion classes. The EXWELD Hydro Beta2 supplements the range of hand extruders and offers a flow rate approx. 4.8 kg/h from a particularly compact hydraulic unit that can also be used on building sites with no problems. The EXWELD Hydro gamma twin combines two extrusion parts in one device. This patent pending method enables an as yet unachieved expulsion level, id eal for use in automated solutions.
In the machine sector the company for the first time presented the higher-powered sheet rolling device SR to produce tank blanks. The completely new design of the next generation of SM-R sheet rolling machine (which have proven themselves for over ten years on the market) displays flexibly mounted feed prisms that allow an optimum guidance of the blank during sheet rolling. The floor mounted motors mean that the welding machine is easily accessible with no great restrictions. Material thicknesses up to 30 mm and cylinder diameters of up to around 4,000 mm can be processed on the sheet rolling device SR with very few personnel.
The WEG 100 spark test device was also presented to a wider public for the first time and rounds off the product portfolio in the field of test engineering.
