The edge sealing system allows a fast and high-quality sealing of the edges of thermoplastic hollow-chamber materials of a thickness from 3 – 12 mm. The shape and position of the edge seal can be adapted to the specific needs of the product simply by a mechanical adjustment, and thus with no change of tools, thanks to the patent pending process. This the first edge sealing system that has been developed to produce a tight edge seal on the inside by welding the upper and lower top layer. The results is an optically perfect edge whose material surface is not melted open and that does not place a thermal load on the existing surface structures or textures.

Short Description of the Procedure
Place material against the stops
Clamp material and start the process using the foot pedal
The fusion element enters the hollow chamber board controlled by time and force
The fins of the hollow chamber board are plasticized and the upper and lower top layer fused
At the end of the pre-set heating time the heating element automatically returns to its park position
The dies are closed, controlled by the pressure and time, and create the edge seal
At the end of the pre-set cooling time the dies and clamping device open
The board can be removed and a new one inserted into the machine
