As a supplement to our butt-welding machines, the welding bead produced during welding is removed on this system simultaneous to the welding process. During the welding machine's cooling phase the bead is removed from the board with a blade through a constant linear advance feed motion. The system is moved relative to the board so that it is positioned on the bead. The bead separating device can be used to process PE, PP and UHMW-PE board welds.

Short Description of the Procedure:
The material passes through the bead separating device
The systems is synchronised to the position of the welding machine by a rack gear and fixed pneumatically
The bead separating process is triggered by the welding machine's control
The material is clamped in the same technical way as clamping on the butt-welding machine
The process heads are started manually
The process heads pass over the board at a constant speed
The edge of the board is detected by an optical sensor
Advance feed of the tool heads by pneumatic z-axes
The separating process begins
The tool head is automatically raised from the board when the end of the board is detected
