Based on the tried and trusted Wegener butt welding machine technology from the SM series, the straightening plant, heating sword and clamping technology were adapted to the geometries of the sections to be welded.

A customised solution - particularly in terms of the clamping technology - was developed here too on the basis of the near-standard butt-welding machine. This system processes extruded sheets up to a theoretical thickness of 50 mm as well as so-called edge sections, which can be selectively clamped in this set-up.
